Pre-K 3 Year Olds

  • Trained staff prepares activities according to the needs and abilities of the age group

  • Weekly Motor and Music/Creative Drama

  • Weekly Chapel

  • Content is presented in different ways according to each child's stage of development

  • BCUMCS utilizes CLI curriculum

  • Our curriculum follows the State of Texas pre-kindergarten guidelines

  • Daily curriculum provides experiences in math concepts and phonological awareness that builds a strong foundation in preparation for kindergarten

Pre-K 4 Year Olds

  • Students develop a strong foundation in phonics with systematic instruction

  • Introduction to basic skills in social studies, science, creative writing, art, cooking, music and motor development.

  • Weekly Chapel, Motor and Music/Creative Drama classes

  • Special Events include Storybook Day, Thanksgiving Experience, 100 Day and more

  • BCUMCS utilizes CLI curriculum

  • Our curriculum follows the State of Texas Kindergarten Readiness

  • A Year to Grow is offered for 5 year old children needing developmental year before entering kindergarten.

Pre-K (Transition)

Transition year is offered before a child enters kindergarten if the parents feel the child would benefit from another year to grow and mature in order to improve a student's ability to succeed in school.

  • Motor and music classes twice a week with chapel once a week.

  • Strong emphasis on fine motor development.

  • BCUMCS utilizes CLI curriculum

  • Our curriculum follows the TEKS (State of Texas Kindergarten Readiness) to experience math concepts and build a strong phonological awareness in preparation for kindergarten readiness.

  • Students develop a foundation in phonological awareness and systematic instruction in phonics.

  • Enhanced skills are integrated with science, creative art, cooking, music, motor development, creative writing and social studies.

  • Special Events include Storybook Day, Thanksgiving Experience, 100 Day and more.

Placement in the Transition class will be made by consensus agreement of the parent of the child, the classroom teacher and the director of the school.
